I purchased this magnificent limited edition piece, called 'Météorites Cruel Gardenia Illuminating Iridescent Powder' from none other than Guerlain - one of the oldest beauty brands that started off as a French perfume house in 1828! Can you believe it? I knew it was old, but THAT is old. I was excited to have purchased this on my birthday (you can see how I was spoiled here and here if you like. ;-) ) - the same day the Guerlain spring 2012 collection arrived on counters although yet to be officially launched on February 12th in AU. I had seen so many photographs, reviews and swatches of this beauty in the last few weeks when it was released in the US - I knew it was a must-have for me. However, I tried to put my finger on it to swatch it, but I'm afraid I'm not ready yet! LOL. *blush* I tried, I did!! I think I got as close as gently touching the edge of one of the pretty petals, but that's about it. Not enough to swatch and post a photo yet. /:-| Silly, isn't it? I will work on this. For now, I am content to admire it as it is until I find the courage to ruin the design forever...
...When I do, I will be sure to put up a review on it with ... swatches! ;-)
